In the field of soil analysis, we deal with determination of the macro and micro-nutrients in soils, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, boron and others. The results appear as the quantity of these nutrients in soil samples and are the basis for the establishment of fertilisation plans, depending on the intended use.
For the analysis of hops and beer, we have introduced and validated virtually all analytical methods that are contained in the Analytica-EBC and MEBAK methods collection. We cooperate closely with international organizations that are responsible for research and professional development of new analytical methods in the context of the analysis committee of the European Brewing Convention and hop analytical laboratories.
In conjunction with other stakeholders, we apply an analytical method for detecting a variety of secondary metabolites in plant tissues, with special emphasis on essential oils and polyphenolic compounds. In agreement with our partners, we introduce new analytical methods necessary to determine the parameters that are required to assess the quality of agri-food products.
In the field of food products, professional and research work is carried out that is related to the safety and quality of food products, which includes the determination of permitted/unauthorized, declared or undeclared additives, such as colourings, flavourings, preservatives, antioxidants etc. and determination of the authenticity of food products in terms of geographical origin, botanical purity, year of production etc.
